i found the sermon inspiring, and i realli love it and i wanna share wif u guys.
i hope i can rmb and do it just like Jesus did.
Lord, help me to socialise with the outcast, help me to reach out to those who are rejected by the society... help me to be where you will be.
Say is easier than done... Lord, i need you, help me not to live with regrets...

today sermon title is "will u eat with them?"
the preacher mentioned 3 points:
1. Jesus understands God's heart for the lost.
2. Jesus embraces God's calling and fulfill it wholeheartedly.
3. Jesus knows the true meaning of compassion.
the preacher left with us 3 questions, i thk they could be a gentle reminder for me.
1. Do we understand God's heart for the lost?

Your peace that guard my heart... your gift of PEACE is just timely
u know sth, i appreciate my centre manager very much. though i am a new staff, she sent me for training course. u know i am attending the "Management of Family Violence" course... phew ... it was such a helpful and beneficial course for me. i realli needed it badly bcos i m oso handling family violence cases.
during this 3 full days, i feel like i am just having honeymoon, NO work stress, No cases assigned to me... cos my centre manager requested the admin staff not to assign cases when we go for course as we will not be able to respond to our clients within 3 days. i am thankful that my manager has a sensitive heart and reacted timely... thank you Lord... can u imagine i wanted very much to send an email to her to make an request that morning, but i deleted the email that morning, and u know wat happened, i rec'd my manager 's email at nite which is exactly the desire that i wanted. i was sooo happy that God has blessed me thru my manager's response.... i wanna testify God's goodness that was showered upon me this week... thank you Lord... may i cont to be your channel of blessing ... amen..

One month old at Care Corner Family Service Centre.
I like being a counsellor...
wow so fast, i alr work there for a month. have great encounter. met clients who came with a sad story. a young teenager was abused by th mother. applied for PPO. client requested me to go court hearing with her... wow, so cool... enter into the family court for th first time... u know, everyone must be quiet when u r in the court room. th judge is so stern... and u know the case was finished in just 5 mins... wow so fast... u know if the respondent din turn up at the court, he/she may be warrant for arrest... this was the FIRST family violence case that i handle. indeed i m thankful to God for the learning opportunity.... heehee... happy n grateful to God..
have 2 other cases oso about family violence. these are the intense cases. and we hv to react fast, and be alert all the time. and we need to go thru the safety plan with our clients. assess the risk of lethality...
other intense cases are like suicide attempt, child abuse... wow i hv to stand on guard mann...
though is tough but i've learnt lots of lesson from these cases... phew ... TOUGH TOUGH!

Refreshing words if we believe in it...
I just like these verses very much bcos they encouraged me and i sense the presence of God enbracing me.
Ps 19:7 The LAW (words) of the Lord is perfect, REVIVING the soul.
Joshua 1:6-9
Be strong and courageous, bcos u will lead these ppl to inherit the land.... be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave u, do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever u go. Do not let this book of the Law depart from your mouth: MEDITATE on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have i not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you forever you go.
like what pastor andrew peh has explained abt these 2 words:
Prosperous - To advance, and be victorious. Not in terms of material sense.
Successful - not measured by our possession, but it is becoming wise, prudent and insightful.
